Phi Chi Theta at the College of Charleston & Beyond

Phi Chi Theta is a National Professional Fraternity in Business and Economics, and belongs to the Professional Fraternity Association (PFA). There are 41 collegiate and alumni chapters nationwide. Phi Chi Theta was founded on June 16, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois. The founders were six women from two of the competing business fraternities, Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Kappa Epsilon. These women joined forces to form an organization whose PURPOSE is:

"To promote the cause of higher business education and training for all individuals, to foster high ideals for everyone pursuing a career in business; to encourage fraternity and cooperation among people preparing for such careers; and to stimulate the spirit of sacrifice and unselfish devotion to the attainment of such ends."

At the College of Charleston

The Zeta Phi chapter of Phi Chi Theta was founded at the College of Charleston on April 12, 2019. Phi Chi Theta currently has dozens of members across all majors. Our goal is to create a prestigious community for business-minded individuals who are interested in professional development, fraternity, and philanthropy. Thanks to our extensive network of professionals, we are able to provide our members the opportunity to engage with guest speakers and grow within development workshops and events. We aim to provide our members with an encouraging environment to practice skills, network, and develop the business astuteness necessary to achieve high esteem and success in their chosen fields.
